My Story
Hi! My name is Petra. I am a special education teacher/teacher of the blind and visually impaired. I have worked at an awesome school for students with multiple diabilities and autism spectrum the past 23 years. I live at home with my amazing husband Dane and our cat Sweet Pea that adopted us last fall. We never thought we’d have another pet after loosing our beloved Doxi-Aussie, Oreo after 10 years..
I was introduced to Scentsy by a friend nearly 12 years ago and I was hooked! It took some time for her to convince me to host my own party after ordering from several and now... well... here I am!
Scentsy quickly replaced my candle addiction. I used to burn candles from the moment I walked in the door from work until just before I went to bed. When Oreo joined our family, we decided that the candles probably were no longer the safest option for us and now definitely not an option with our Sweet Pea - although she doesn’t get into much like other cats we’ve had. Having a long line of firefighters in the family, I was skeptical about using a plug in product. But Scentsy products have been proven to be SAFE and have forever changed my life.
What I loved about Scentsy is that it was very different from other products I had used. I loved that heat from the light bulbs is just hot enough to melt the scent bar wax. And the fragrance lasts for weeks! I loved the versatility of the warmer designs...there are literally a warmer design for everyone. And fragrances... well let's just say you can never get bored! They also offer a wide range of fragrance experience products- so if warmers and wax isn’t your thing- it’s ok, we still have you covered!
Scentsy is so much more than warmers and wax. Scentsy is about fragrance experiences. The smell of our fragrances can bring us back in time...to places we only remember in our minds. The smell of French lavendar is able to transport me back to being a little girl and visiting my Great Grandma. I can smell the house and feel her warmth. Dane has become an integral part of my Scentsy business too. He has embraced the experience and has helped me grow in so many ways. He’s by my side at vendor events, helps with set up and break down at them, he attends World Tour and Scentsy Family Reunion (SFR). Having him with me at events help re-energized our love of Scentsy and our commitment to the business.
